History
ˇ´The whole area was constructed between 1980 and 1983.
ˇ´The land and buildings belong to the Taichung City Government.
ˇ´The hospital is managed by CSMU.
ˇ´The hospital began service in 1989.Medical Service
Medical Service
ˇ´Rehabilitation Medicine includes ward service of 93 beds for
physically disabled
patients, and 25 outpatient clinics per week. Around 100 patients
visit the OPD clinics
per day, and 530 sessions of therapy are conducted per day.
ˇ´Outreach services are provided regularly for environmental
modifications, application
of assistive devices, and rehabilitation therapy if necessary.
ˇ´The psychiatric department provides ward service with 29 beds for
mentally disabled
patients, 5 outpatient clinics per week, and day care for 50
patients. Around 300 patients
visit the OPD clinics per month. Facility and Staff
Facility and Staff
ˇ´Medical department includes 6 attending physicians and 7 residents
in rehabilitation
department, 5 attending physicians and 5 residents in psychiatry
department, and one
attending physician in dentistry department.
ˇ´The therapeutic department includes 27 physical therapists, 20
occupational therapists,
5 speech therapists, 6 psychologists, 3 prosthetics & orthotists, 5
assistive technology
practitioners, and 3 social workers.
ˇ´In central Taiwan, CSMU Rehabilitation Hospital is the only
hospital that has its own
prosthetic & orthotic department and assistive technology center.

Internships for medical and paramedical students are offered,
including
Medical students 35 people/year
PT, OT, ST students 105 people/year
Psychology students 2 person/year
Nursing students 90 person/year
Nutrition students 20 person/year
Social Work students 4 person/year
