Wen-Hsin District

Introduction
Chung Shan Medical and Dental College was established by Dr. Ju-Chuan Chou in 1960.
The same year, the school admitted its first class of students and became Medical College.
Later, it became Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU) after all effort for many years.
In 2001, the School of Dentistry moved to the new building ”Oral Medicine Research Building”;
the College of Oral Medicine was built and the dental clinic also started to reinforce
service in this building, which is called as Wen-Hsin District.

Our group practice is composed of full-time CSMU School of Dentistry faculty members who see
patients in a private practice dental setting. With last years, the Wen-Hsin Dental Group
offers excellent diverse group of dentists and specialists in Taichung City.

Service
Wen-Hsin District offers many specialty clinics. Clinics are available to handle patients’
dental needs as following:

Current Facility
CSMU Hospital Wen-Hsin District contains 20 visitings , 3 chief residents, 14 residents,
65 interns, 17 administrators, 6 nurses, 2 X-Ray technicians and 3 janitors. 96 dental
units are accomplished in the clinical area.


Prospect
The dental group consists exclusively of full time CSMU dental faculty members.
These same members are responsible for the education and training of interns and residents.
The goal in our district is to cultivate specialists in oral medicine teaching, research and
medicine care All the great effort is made to hold to the highest standards of excellence in
dental care, not only for the patients in our hospital but also for the public in communities,
kindergartens and aged care centers. Promoting local research is also a main mission of our
district, such as, researching in oral cancer and Periodontology.

8. Painless High- tech anesthetic equipment
9. All the procedures of general anesthesia are supervised and operated by anesthetists for handicapped.
