Explain: Blastocyst Transfer
Content:
Type of Operation:
Clinical Information:
The embryo transfer is performed on {{D4, D5}} after oocyte retrieval and [[in-vitro fertilization, ICSI]]. The blastocysts will be selected and transferred after {{conventional culture, sequential culture, co-culture}} and [[AHA, blastomere biopsy, trophectoderm biopsy, cytoplasm transfer, pronucleus transfer, other manipulation, no manipulation]]. After well explained, the patient is brought to operation room for blastocyst transfer. The quality of embryos to be transferred are as following:
Blastocyst No.: Embyo score: , Average:
Operative procedures:
The patient was asked to assume
the lithotomy position. Perineal and bilateral lower extremity drapes were
placed. Vaginal and cervical secretions were gently removed with small pledges
of cotton moistened in flush medium. The Labotect catheter was gently
maneuvered to pass it through the cervical canal and into the uterine cavity so
that the tip of the catheter could be placed about 1 cm from the fundus. The
guide inner catheter was then removed. In the laboratory the embryos were
identified and were drawn up into the already prepared inner catheter. Then
this catheter was gently passed into the already placed external catheter and
the embryos were slowly injected into the uterine cavity. The catheter was left
in position for a minute then gently removed and checked in case the embryos
had been retained. All the procedures were performed smoothly.
